Agadha is the title of director MS Raju's first divine mystical thriller. Days after its title was revealed, the director today unveiled the name of his movie's protagonist.
Kamakshi Bhaskarla of the Polimera franchise fame will headline the prestigious venture. Mahadevi is her name in it. "In the recent pre-look, a girl was seen standing near the murti of a Goddess. Kamakshi essays that female character," MS Raju shared.
Agadha is expected to be Kamakshi's theatrical breakout release. Her filmography has just got enriched by a movie that will tap into her intensity, and naturalistic way of performing. This is the opportunity of a lifetime for the doctor-turned-actor, who was most recently seen as Adivi Sesh's relative in Dacoit.
Her character's importance to the narrative is evident from what the makers have stated so far. "In a world of darkness, she becomes the force of order," the team wrote on social media. "Every detail and deadly secret raises anticipation," Kamakshi wrote the other day.
The film was shot for 85 working days in all. Its post-production works are being fast wrapped up. The tech-laden movie will feature VFX shots for a run-time of 45 minutes. Producer Kasi Visalakshi Balusu is elated that MS Raju's re-entry as a director is being well-received by everyone. Raju, the producer of classics like Okkadu, has been welcomed back to the director's chair with applause years after he made Dirty Hari. Sri Adi Varaha Productions will leave no stone unturned in mounting Agadha on the scale it deserves.
Chaitanya Vegi is contributing to the project’s additional screenplay. The visual and auditory output is crafted by cinematographer Nani Chamidishetty and composer Rakesh Venkatapuram, respectively. Junaid Siddiqui is handling the editing. The film’s aesthetic environment was overseen by production designer Rajeev Nair, and the entire production will take place this year. Agadha will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
