Korean Kanakaraju Trailer: Satya steals the show, Varun Tej eyes a comeback

Ahead of Korean Kanakaraju's theatrical release on August 7, the "wild Indo-Korean horror comedy" is in the news because of its Trailer. Director Merlapaka Gandhi's inconsistent form hasn't badly affected the film, it would seem from the biggest promotional asset from the project. Varun Tej's character is a cross between a carefree Seema youth and a self-styled Korean don in this revenge-themed (?) comedy. The production values, too, feel sincere. The X-Factor, however, could be Satya, the ace comedian. While Jet Lee did bite the dust, his form can't be doubted.

"This August 7, we hope to entertain you all," Varun Tej, who has delivered a string of flops in recent years, shared. He admitted to making missteps, adding that he had a grip on the trends after those blunders. "Korean Kanakaraju came my way when I was ruminating over what best I could do with my available resources. Kanakaraju is subtle and menacing," the Fidaa star added.

While the plot features supernatural and "mass commercial" elements, the film has been designed primarily as an entertainer. "This is going to be in the comic space," the Mega hero added.

Director Gandhi of Express Raja fame said that Varun Tej's character, which is non-comical otherwise, tickles the funny bone because it is put in hilarious situations.

Korean Kanakaraju also features Ritika Nayak, Muralidhar Goud and others.
