"I don't know what Lokesh is doing... He is busy with Allu Arjun's film. And then, he is also going to make Vikram 2. But I see him in interviews saying Rolex is there. He is writing it. So, whenever it happens, time will answer." This is what actor Suriya said, talking about his standalone Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe film, which was first teased in Kamal Haasan-Fahadh Faasil-Vijay Sethupathi's 2022 movie Vikram. More than four years on, the project hasn't been launched.
Lokesh will shoot Allu Arjun's movie in 2027. Vikram 2 might be shot in 2028, if everything goes well. Karthi's Kaithi 2 has also been pending for a long time.
As for Suriya, he awaits the theatrical arrival of Vishwanath And Sons on August 14. It will be released in both Telugu and Tamil. Director Venky Atluri recently promised full-on entertainment for 1 hour 45 minutes of run-time at the very least. The film, co-starring Mamitha Baiju, Raveena Tandon and others, has music by GV Prakash.
