MS Raju has revealed that Trisha was first considered for Mahesh Babu's Arjun, but director Gunasekhar rejected her profile because he thought her look wasn't apt. The future superstar, however, landed a true-blue blockbuster opposite Prabhas by a streak of luck.
Around the time she missed out on Arjun, Raju happened to see Trisha's photo in the hands of Mahesh Babu rather accidentally. He inquired about her, and when Mahesh permitted him to rope her in for another movie, he went ahead. Raju contacted her immediately and pitched her the story of Varsham, a blockbuster that would become a turning point in her career. Raju met Trisha in the presence of her mother at a flat. He had only one condition: shed some tummy weight before the shoot began.
"Trisha worked extremely hard on Varsham. She got drenched in the rain for many, many days of the shoot. Since that film, she has only given me the utmost respect," Raju recently revealed. MS Raju awaits the release of Agadha on August 14. Trisha, recently featured in Karuppu, is part of Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara.
