Speculations about Ajith Kumar’s remuneration for Dare Devil (his 64th film) have varied widely in the range of roughly Rs 180 to 200 crore, with some reports citing lower or alternative deal structures. The film is produced by his wife, Shalini.
Demands or speculated fees in the Rs 140 to 180 crore range emerged earlier this year, with higher claims of around Rs 187 crore or a demand of Rs 200 crore. His demands reportedly caused some production houses to hesitate. Ajith’s reported fees was around Rs 105 crore for Vidaamuyarchi and about 150 crore for Good Bad Ugly. Producers became cautious about very high fees for his 64th movie.
After Thalapathy Vijay's exit from cinema, Ajith is expected to constantly surge ahead. He is now all charged up and could dominate the Tamil film industry totally if he picks the right kind of movies. Although Lokesh Kanagaraj and Nelson would be ideal candidates to direct his movies, they are not confirmed. Lokesh has publicly expressed strong interest in directing Ajith. In mid-2025 interviews, he said he wants to make an action film with Ajith in his style, that talks have happened. However, nothing concrete emerged from those talks.
