Sambarala Yeti Gattu, starring Sai Durgha Tej (Sai Dharam Tej), will head to theatres on 12 January 2027. The period action drama, co-starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jagapathi Babu, Ananya Nagalla, Sai Kumar and Srikanth, is produced by Primeshow Entertainment of HanuMan fame.
SYG has been a curious case. The project was announced in 2024. Its Carnage Glimpse was unveiled in December 2024 in the presence of Ram Charan. The movie is coming out two years since that grand public event. That's unbelievable delay.
Seriously, this is beyond funny now. SYG's budget is said to be upwards of Rs 120 Cr. HanuMan producers are believed to have set out with the ambitious project without adequate planning. Earlier, it was meant for Kiran Abbavaram. After Kiran voluntarily stepped aside (because he felt the scale didn't suit him), the story was pitched to SDT. The actor gave the nod in 2023.
SYG is now the Mega hero's magnum opus. The film needs to become nothing less than a blockbuster for it to recover its foolishly high budget. By the time this movie comes out for Sankranthi 2027, The Paradise will be long out in theatres and on OTT. SYG's visuals will bet subjected to comparisons with Nani's movie.
