KT Rama Rao, the BRS leader, today addressed a crowd that had gathered to press for the demand of the Union Education Minister in Hyderabad. The former Minister was there to support their demand.
Criticizing Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, KTR spiced up his speech with a reference to Natural Star Nani's The Paradise. He paraphrased two lines from the song, Aaya Sher, the chartbuster. "Pottu pottu akali meedha unnaru vaallu... mettu mettu ekkutharu," KTR shared as the crowds cheered.
He also referred to Chitram, starring Late Uday Kiran and Reema Sen in the lead. In a song in the Teja-directed college campus love story, actor Uttej narrates tales to a child to divert its attention. Every time, the child comes around to ask for a pet. "Just as the child in that song cries 'Kukka kavali' no matter what, so also Revanth Reddy keeps doing 'KCR KCR' all the time," KTR said.
