Asian Group, which owns a number of theatres in Nizam, is collaborating with three actors for its first IMAX property. It is uniting with Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Rana Daggubati for the only IMAX property (as of now) in the Telugu States. They will launch a new IMAX screen at the upcoming AMB Classic Victory multiplex at RTC X Roads, Hyderabad.

"AMB Cinemas is a joint venture between Mahesh Babu and the Asian Group, which is led by Suniel Narang and Bharat Narang. This new addition will be the only operational IMAX screen in the Telugu-speaking states. The new multiplex is being constructed on the historic grounds of the former Sudarshan 70mm Theatre. AMB Classic Victory is scheduled to open soon in Hyderabad," a statement today said.

AMB Cinemas has confirmed plans to expand its premium theatrical footprint by introducing three new IMAX screens to the Indian market. The first one (Sudarshan 70 mm Theatre) will open this year. The other two will make their debut by the end of 2028.

India's growing IMAX market:

"India has ranked among Imax’s top 10 markets for the past decade, with the country’s network expanding by nearly 60% since 2020 to 34 open commercial locations today, with at least four more expected to open this year," a report by Variety today said.
