Rashmika Mandanna couldn't have asked for a better gift post her wedding. She has been named Best Actress at the 2025 Telangana Gaddar Film Awards, announced on Saturday. The recognition honors her performance in the romantic drama The Girlfriend, where she portrayed a Literature student navigating a toxic relationship.
"We did it! (sic)," was Rashmika's first reaction upon winning the state award.
Presented by Allu Aravind, the film was produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni under the banners of Geetha Arts and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment. Reacting to the news, Dheeraj said that he was "elated that our beautiful and incredible film received a special accolade". He extended his heartiest congratulations to the star heroine for clinching the Best Actress award for her "endearing and inspiring performance as Bhooma Devi."
Rahul Ravindran wrote, "Heart is dancing! So damn proud of you, Rashmika". When the film was released in theatres in November 2025, Rashmika Mandanna said that she was amazed by how deeply Rahul understood women’s emotions. Thanking Rahul for giving her the opportunity to essay the character, also praised music director Hesham Abdul Wahab's work.
