Speaking at an event to celebrate the successful run of Mrithyunjay on Saturday, Sree Vishnu described the investigative thriller as a "rare" one in the genre. He added that all cast members have delivered amazing performances.
"The audience is finding the film very fresh. Everyone has been presented in a new light. The twists are top-notch. Kaala Bhairava’s score has surprised me; thanks to his work, the impact has only multiplied. Mrithyunjay is receiving high praises from those who have watched it. I urge the audience to catch it in theatres all over," Sree Vishnu said. Based on his theatrical visits, the actor has learned that the second half has been watched with rapt attention.
Producer Sandeep Gunnam said that collections on Day 2 are more than that on Day 1. "My distributors are happy. They have been my greatest support. It's in service of a great story that we didn't force-fit comedy scenes despite the presence of comedy actors like Sudarshan and Raccha Ravi in the cast. I came across Chinna garu (actor) for the first time during the making of Shiva, when I was 8. I am glad he has acted in my maiden venture as a producer. Kaala Bhairava has been one of my favourite cousins. It's not nepotism if you rope in someone as talented as Bhairava. Watching Mrithyunjay with his BGM made me believe that we had an amazing film. Reba John has embodied her character. I approached Sree Vishnu for the first time in 2021 or so. After I started interacting with him, I discovered what kind of a story he wanted. Every review has stated that his performance is very good. Everyone is talking about Baby Ooha's scenes; they want to watch more of her! Our movie will have a long theatrical run of two weeks," he added.
Director Hussain Sha Kiran's strategy, from the beginning, has been to promote the film's genre-driven content. "No songs and comedy scenes have been infused for the sake of it. I thank everyone for supporting us through their positive reviews on social media. Without Sree Vishnu garu, nothing would have been possible. I feel I did not disappoint the trust he placed in me," the director said.
Mrithyunjay's streaming rights are with Netflix. "They gave me a very good deal," the producer added.
