Rapappa is the title of the first song from Rakasa, starring MAD fame Sangeeth Shoban in the lead. This time, he is 'mad' at himself - after a heartbreak!
From rhythmic wordplay to Ram Miriyala’s distinctive vocal delivery, the song is engaging in many ways. Anudeep Dev has composed it, while the dance choreography is by JD Master. Raghuram has penned the lyrics.
An ensemble cast:
Co-starring Nayan Sarika as the female lead, Rakasa also features Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, Getup Srinu, Sukhwinder Singh, Anoop Singh, Vasu Inturi, Rohini, and Rohan Roy.
Teaser is a hit:
Director Manasa Sharma's promotional material has been successful. The film's teaser is inching toward 3 million views, while the title glimpse, which was released first, is nearing 2 million views.
Major international release:
Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures will release Rakasa on more than 350 screens across the US, the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia. The North America distribution is the responsibility of Prathyangira Cinemas.
A genre film:
Rakasa is essentially a fantasy comedy with a tinge of horror. There is also the element of adventure because Sangeeth's character, together with others, will be "running around".
Rakasa is produced by Pink Elephant Pictures and Zee Studios. Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal have produced it. The film will head to theatres on April 3.
