Actor Vishal and director Sundar C are set to return to the big screen. This time, they are aiming for a hat-trick following the blockbuster results of their previous collaborations, namely, Ambala and Madha Gaja Raja (a delayed release, yet it became a massive hit in Tamil).
Their latest project, titled Mogudu, is scheduled to be released in theatres later this year. It promises to be a full-blown commercial entertainer. The film is titled Purushan in Tamil.
Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast as the female lead. The supporting cast features versatile actors and comedians including Navdeep, Sampath, Ajay Ghosh, Garuda Ram, VTV Ganesh, and Yogi Babu. The production has officially crossed its first milestone, with the team recently wrapping up the initial shooting schedule. The film’s journey will continue with upcoming schedules planned across diverse locations, including Kolkata, Goa, and Chennai.
In a title promo released today, Vishal is depicted as an everyday husband dedicated to household chores. But there is a twist. He is secretly maintaining a double life as a formidable force who takes down criminals. He could well be an undercover officer.
Hiphop Tamizha has been recruited for the music, Gopi Amarnath for cinematography, Rodger for editing, and Guru Raj as the art director. Mogudu is being produced with the blessings of Dr AC Shanmugam. The project is a joint venture between Arun Kumar and Khushbu Sundar.
