Sree Vishnu’s latest film, Mrithyunjay, is dominating the box office following its March 6 release. The investigative thriller emerged as the primary choice for audiences among last week's new releases. Strong word-of-mouth and positive reviews have fueled its financial success.
Daily collections have remained steady since the opening day. The film, directed by Sri Hussain Sha Kiran, saw a significant surge over its first weekend. It continues to maintain impressive momentum throughout the weekdays. Housefull boards are being reported at both single-screen theaters and multiplexes. High occupancy rates indicate a very successful theatrical run.
Endorsements from major Tollywood figures like Pushpa maker Sukumar and Natural Star Nani have further boosted its commercial appeal. The lack of major competition in theaters has also benefited the film. If these occupancy levels hold, Mrithyunjay is on track to become a blockbuster.
Producer Sandeep Gunnam has bankrolled the movie with Vinay Chilakapati. Kaala Bhairava is the music director.
Sree Vishnu's upcoming movies:
Comrade Kalyan is 80% complete and it will come out first. He is going to film soon with his Samajavaragamana maker Ram Abbaraju. He will also shoot for a film to be helmed by Sunny; this one will be produced by Sithara Entertainments. "Someone is even writing a sequel for one of my films. All the stories I am choosing are about middle-class setups and situations we see around us. These films don't take years to make; they can be completed in 60 to 70 working days. Making people laugh is difficult, but since we focus on situational comedy, it is working out well," Sree Vishnu recently said.
