A high-speed collision on the Outer Ring Road in Adibatla killed actor Bharat Kanth and his friend early Sunday morning. The 31-year-old actor and his companion, G. Sai Trilok (a cinematographer in the Telugu film industry), were natives of Nellore.
"The accident occurred on the stretch between Bongloor and Thukkuguda near exit number 12. Bharat Kanth was driving the car when it rammed into the back of a moving container lorry. The force of the impact was so severe that the rear wheels of the lorry were completely detached," the police have said in a statement. The two died at the scene.
Preliminary reports suggest excessive speed played a significant role in the fatal crash.
Bharat Kanth earned good recognition for his lead role in the movie Tenant and played key roles in several web series. Trilok made a name for himself as a cinematographer, working on various films and commercial ads. He was currently serving as the Director of Photographer for the movie Talwar, starring Puri Jagannadh's son, Akash Puri.
