'SPY' Teaser: A globe-trotting national thriller

The teaser for 'SPY' was unveiled on Monday at the historic Karthavya Path in New Delhi. Nikhil Siddhartha glorified the film during his speech on the occasion. "In recent times, our Telugu cinema is going global. 'SPY' is another attempt in furthering the glory of our cinema. We came up with a new point. You will be shocked to know the core point," the 'Kartikeya 2' actor said.

Content-wise, the teaser hits the right notes. Makrand Deshpande's character is seen explaining to his team what he calls "Bhagwan Ji Files". He introduces them to "India’s best-kept secret", something that makes them curious. The male protagonist is perplexed to explore the reasons behind the mysterious disappearance of Subhash Chandra Bose in 1945.

The cuts are racy. The film, directed by Garry BH, appears to tick all the right boxes in conveying its central conceit.

While Makrand's character gets to be heard throughout, other characters register their presence. Iswarya Menon is seen comforting the hero, while Sanya Thakur and Abhinav Gomatam are expected to be his support system as well.

This film marks the return to the big screen of Aryan Rajesh, better known as Allari Naresh's brother.

The film, whose music is by Sricharan Pakala and Vishal Chandrashekar, will hit the cinemas on June 29.
