Just back from Turkey after shooting a schedule 1 of his latest flick ‘Dhookudu’ under Sreenu Vaitla’s direction, Mahesh Babu stole some time off while shooting Thumps Up ad film at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and had a chit chat with fans as well as media.

When asked about the failure of ‘Khaleja’, he said that the results of ‘Khaleja’ not being as expected was due to the long gap he had given between the films raising the hopes of fans sky high.

When questioned the present project ‘Dhookudu’, he said that the movie being an entertaining one with enough stunts and actions introduced by Sreenu Vaitla and the movie is in 2nd schedule after the completion of 1st schedule in Istanbul, Turkey.

When asked about his looks in ‘Dhookudu’, he said that the looks are very important for a hero to succeed otherwise people get bored with the same looks.  He further added that the looks ‘Dhookudu’ be kept secret to create some anxiety in the minds of people.

When questioned about his inclination to do more stunts himself like Akshay Kumar in Bollywood, he was quick to say that all heroes in Telugu movies like to do stunts unlike in other languages.  He also answered about his preferential interaction in media saying that the gap between the films kept him away from the media but was available to interact whenever he was to promote a product.  His version was that the popularity of a personality can well be judged from the products and the frequency with which they are promoted.

About ‘3 Idiots’, he mentioned that director Shankar approached him for the movie but since the dates were clashing with ‘Dhookudu’ they are working out some other arrangements.  He also added that he would not stop with just a movie but will be doing more movies (atleast two movies) in the year 2011.
