Nari Nari Naduma Murari is an out-and-out entertainer: Anil Sunkara

Nari Nari Naduma Murari is up for a grand theatrical release on the evening of January 14. Producer Anil Sunkara, in this interview, talks about the highlights in the Sharwanand-starrer. Co-starring Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya as heroines, the film is directed by Samajavaragamana fame Ram Abburi.

Suitable for the festival:

Nari Nari Naduma Murari is a Sankranti-appropriate movie. We have had a good track record with festival releases. Whatever we had planned for has turned out to be the final output in the case of NNNM. We intended it to be an out-and-out entertaining film. We will keep the audience laughing during the entire run-time. At first, many didn't believe that our film would be in the Sankranthi race.

A happy movie:

Casting-wise, our movie is a blockbuster. It's a happy story with an emotional ending. Don't expect any twists. Since all Sankranthi movies are entertainers, I don't see an overkill. The audience won't mind watching more than one entertainer. They will mind watching two serious movies back-to-back, but this resistance won't be there for comedies. Also, in the week following Sankranthi, there won't be any fresh releases. That's an advantage. The entire Sankranthi vibe is different. My movie James Bond with Allari Naresh was released just after Baahubali and just before Srimanthudu. Yet, it became a hit.

A special role:

Sree Vishnu has a special role in our movie. He is easily accessible to us, and we approached him for that character. It's a thoroughly enjoyable, fun character. His scenes with Sharwanand are very funny. He has a grounded approach to his character.

Robust deals:

Dil Raju is releasing our movie in Nizam and Vizag. We are handling the East region ourselves. Raja is releasing it in West, Krishna, and Guntur, while Shobhan is releasing it in the Ceded region. While I can't tell you yet about the number of theatres in which our film will be debuting, we are in for a grand theatrical release. As for the OTT deal, we have struck one with Amazon Prime Video.

Script is supreme:

I believe that everything has to be taken care of at the script level itself. I review it once after the first half is done, and then once again during the final schedule. If the film comes out as per the script, it means it has turned out well.

Brainstorming after failures:

My relationship with my directors doesn't get affected negatively even a bit after a failure. Nobody makes movies with the intention of turning it into a commercial flop. I do the required brainstorming, but I don't have the luxury to change the processes much. I don't have that wavelength.

A thorough line-up:

We have mostly made films with Superstar Mahesh Babu. Lately, we are doing both small- and big-budget films. We are also discussing a project with Sai Dharam Tej. We have signed up for a movie with Teja Sajja. Goodachari 2 with Adivi Sesh is coming up. I mostly want to make entertaining films. As part of this, we are also doing a comedy entertainer titled Air Force Bejawada Batch. All my upcoming movies will be entertainers.
