Producer Anil Sunkara is confident that 'Bholaa Shankar' is going to register excellent openings at the box-office this weekend. The film, starring Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh as a brother-sister duo, will be released in theatres on August 11. In this interview, the producer talks about the Meher Ramesh directorial and other topics.

Working with Chiranjeevi garu has been my dream. Meeting him itself was an experience. At first, I held the Kannada remake rights to 'Vedalam' (Tamil). Later, I acquired the Telugu remake rights after Meher Ramesh evinced interest to work with Chiranjeevi garu. Usually, I search for the right story after buying a hero's call sheets. This time, the reverse happened. The Megastar is happy with the output. From the start, we felt it was a safe project, as it is a tested story. The brother-sister emotion, the heroism made us confident in the subject.

Budgets have gone up drastically across the board in the industry in the last 10 years or so. Revenue streams have also improved concomitantly. Speaking of Meher Ramesh, he has a full idea of how to control costs.

We are expecting the openings to reach our expectations. Indications are already there that the film is a box office hit.

'Bholaa Shankar' was shot for 120 working days. Upon Mahesh Babu's advice, I was on the set of the movie (for 40 days). Usually, I am not there on the sets of a movie unless the hero is Mahesh.

Usually, I use my father's name (Ramabrahmam Sunkara) for movies made on AK Entertainments. In the case of 'Bholaa Shankar', it was Meher Ramesh's wish that I use my name.

I and my partners at 14 Reels are producing a movie with Bellamkonda Srinivas as the hero.
