With the arrival of ‘Sudigadu’ in theaters, the spoof comedy trend took Allari Naresh to the new level. Directed by Bheemineni Srinivas Rao, ‘Sudigadu’ stirs hit scenes and dances of top heroes from their films which made it so great. ‘Sudigadu’ which is based on the Tamil super hit film ‘Tamil Padam’ recently opened to theaters, is creating ripples at box-office in AP and abroad. On this occasion, hero Naresh shared his joy with the Hyderabad media on Saturday. Here are few excerpts:

According to Allari Naresh, ‘Sudigadu’ is the last film he agreed to do when his father (EVV Satyanarayana) was alive. He said, “I’m very hapy to note that ‘Sudigadu’ has turned out to be a big hit in Andhra Pradesh as well as overseas with its first week collections of Rs 8 crores shares.  The main reason for such a huge success is comedy apart from publicity and mouth-talk.

‘Sudigadu’ has become a bigger hit than the original film ‘Tamil Padam’, which is the debut film for the Tamil director Aamudham.  He said after the release of ‘Sudigadu’, lot of craze has been generated for the Hindi and Kannada remake rights.  The market price for my past films used to be from Rs 6 crores to Rs 6.5 crores.  Hence director Bheemineni Srinivas Rao felt that the budget was a little too high for this film.  But producer Chandrasekhar D Reddy garu never compromised on the budget and asked him to proceed with the film.  Today the returns are more than what was spent on the film and the distributors are all very happy with the results.

Bheemineni Srinivas Rao garu had put in a lot of efforts in selecting 100 films and making a list of spoof (parody), which is not a joke.  I even suggested him to name the film as ‘Item Raja’ since the film is a spoof of items from 100 films.  But since he had the ‘Su’ sentiment, he selected the title ‘Sudigadu’.

After ‘Madatha Kaaja’, Srivasanth came up with good tunes in this film once again.  He composed five different tunes for all five songs.  Choreographers Bhanu, Prem Rakshit and Nixon made me twist my body well for the dances.  I normally used to struggle for dances, but after this film I’m enjoying the dance.

Even though ‘Sudigadu’ is a spoofed (paradied) movie, I did not imitate any hero’s body-language or diction.  Bheemineni garu adviced me to do all items with my body-language and I followed the same.  It worked out very well.  Many heroes watched this film and they all have enjoyed it.  Interesting part is fans of all heroes are enjoying this film.
