'Narappa' will stream on Amazon Prime from July 20. In his latest interview, Victory Venkatesh has spoken about the movie. Here we bring the highlights of what the versatile actor said in his latest media interaction.

I am not bound by time. 'Narappa' is not a sudden OTT release. In any case, I am not the kind of person who asks questions about events in life. I don't bother much and don't put questions in life. I go with the flow. As an actor, I have put in sincere effort. I have to do my duty. Others will take the call with respect to business aspects.

I understand fans are disappointed about the OTT release. I would like to sincerely apologize to them and tell them that it has happened. We have to be strong enough. My fans and well-wishers have always understood my style of functioning. There definitely is some pinch this time. But my fans don't complain much.

'Narappa' was very tough to do. I was emotionally exhausting. I intensely involved myself. I hope everyone likes it.

Remakes are challenging. Films like 'Chanti' were very difficult. They became super hits in the original. So, it takes a lot of guts to remake them. When you take up challenges as an actor, it gives me an opportunity to prove myself as an actor. The audience, my producers - everybody has to be happy.

I had to be in the same Narappa look for 50 days. Narappa is one of the most challenging characters I have ever done. I am a middle-aged actor and I tried to bring in authenticity.

'Narappa' is a sincere remake. Sreekanth Addala has worked with me in the past and he loved 'Asuran'. I went for him because we are doing an honest remake. Comparisons with the original will be there. Since the content is so strong and we have all good actors, we are confident. It's a hard-hitting emotional film. It's also very refreshing after a comedy like 'F2'.

If the audience gets involved in an emotional film, they will not compare performances. I admire Dhanush's acting skills. I liked him in 'Asuran' a lot.

'Drushyam 2' came to me at the right time. I completed its shoot at a single stretch. 'F3' is going to be a crazy comedy.

Every actor faces some or the other kind of pressure in career. More than your talent, your hard work matters. Just be disciplined in your work. I don't compare myself with others. You have to be sincere about what you do. You don't refuse good opportunities. At the same time, nobody can ensure that you get everything that you want.

Covid has caught everyone unawares. We shouldn't forget the lessons this has taught us. I believe Nature takes its call. In career, I have had phases where there were 4-5 scripts at once. At other times, there are zero good scripts.

Be a positive person always. This pandemic has taught everyone that life can't be taken for granted. I believe that meditation can go a long way in making the world positive.

My film with Tharun Bhascker is not a sports drama. Don't jump the gun as yet. There is a question of whether I will do 100 films. It's not in my hands. The covid pandemic has changed our thinking in life.

My performance in 'Narappa' will excite the audience to watch. I have enjoyed doing emotional scenes right from the days of 'Prema'.
