Mehreen Kaur, who allured the audience with her acting in movies like Mahanubhavudu and F2, is all ready for the release of her upcoming movie 'Manchi Rojulochaie'. Here is our exclusive interview with the beautiful actress.
Q. How did you get this chance to act in Manchi Rojulochaie?
A. Maruthi garu approached me to play this role. It all happened in a couple of days. I blindly went with my instincts. After I reached the sets only I learned about the story. I felt my instincts led me in a good direction.
Q. Tell us something about your role in this movie?
A. I play Padma-Paddu. Padma is a software engineer, who falls in love with her colleague. Her father is overprotective, just like any other father. Her role is all about how she manages in between a loving father and her lover.
Q. Going by trailer, more than the hero or heroine, we see that the father's role has much priority?
A. The subject is treated in a fun way, but it is laced with emotions and family values. I love the way the director, Maruthi Sir has written every role. Yes, the subject deals with a father's emotions, but it has all other elements of entertainment.
Q. How was it acting with Ajay Gosh?
A. Ajay sir was seen in villain roles in the past. So, seeing him in such a light role is to come as a surprise. He did it with so much effort and his role is one of the highlights of the movie.
Q. Have you been restricting yourself to comedy-based movies?
A. Because they’re much more fun and such roles provide me the leeway to do more as an actor. But, again, you can't compare both the movies (F3, Manchi Rojulochaie).
Q. When did you start shooting for this movie?
A. We shot non-stop, as we had started shooting after the second lockdown. It was scary in the start, as I already had tested positive once.
Q. What was the effect of COVID?
A. I cannot tell you how much tired I used to feel. It took me so much time to recover from the fatigue. I could not work out for a couple of months even after recovery.
Q. Details about your upcoming movies?
A. I am currently shooting for F3 and also has a Kannada project on the other hand.
