'Arjuna Phalguna' will be released in theatres on December 31. In this interview, actress Amritha Aiyer of '30 Rojullo Preminchadamela' and 'RED' fame talks about her character, the theme of friendship in the Teja Marni directorial, working with Sree Vishnu, and more.

Shravani is the name of my character in 'Arjuna Phalguna'. I am friends with five people who need my presence. I am part of their important mission and the task at hand is grave. Not all females would be ready to do what is required of them. She goes out of her way to make it happen.

It's a thrilling script. Friendship is a key element, and the story has engaging elements for the family audience as well. Friendship knows no gender barriers. That's what our film shows. The village-based story is set in Rajahmundry. Director Teja Marni has based the story on a true incident.

It was nice to work with Sree Vishnu. Initially, I thought of him as a reserved person like me. As time passed, we really got friendly. He is a humble, down-to-earth person. On-screen, it doesn't look like we are uttering dialogues. They feel like natural, spontaneous conversations.

Priyadarshan Balasubramanian's songs and the BGM have come out very well. 'Kaapadeva Raapadeva' is my favorite song from the movie. VK Naresh garu's character will be a highlight. There is a cop whose character will stand out.

I am used to running but running in the jungles was tough. We also shot in the mountains. We had no access to the caravan for three full days. At least 40% of the story takes place in the backdrop of a forest.

I am very happy with the response for 'RED' and '30 Rojullo..' released earlier this year. Personally, I received positive reviews for my performance in those films. I am playing good characters and I hope I get to play more. I have played only traditional girl roles so far. I am not comfortable with ultra-glamorous roles.

I have been into sports since childhood. After becoming an actress, initially, I didn't know how to balance acting and sports. I am now able to do a balancing act. I play basketball. I was born in Chennai and grew up in Bengaluru. I worked for a corporate company for a year.

Allu Arjun garu is my favourite actor. I am doing 'Hanu-Man' currently. It is directed by Prasanth Varma and is a superhero movie. Teja Sajja is its hero.
