'Gurthunda Seethakalam' is hitting the cinemas on December 9. Satyadev Kancharana, Tamannaah Bhatia, Priyadarshi, Kavya Shetty and Megha Akash are its prime cast. In this interview, dialogue writer Lakshmi Bhupala talks about the film, his career, and more. He has previously written for notable films like 'Oh Baby!', 'Ala Modalaindi' and 'Adbhutham'. The recent 'GodFather', starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, is his biggest project thus far.

It was I who first spoke to Satyadev and brought him on board for this project. Films like 'Premam' and 'Autograph' belong to a particular gnere of romantic drama. They are rare. In 'GS', there are lots of variations to the male lead's character. Satyadev is one actor who can play any variation. It's rare to find such an artist.

Winter is the perfect time for a love story. 'GS' is a visual treat in which Satyadev has nailed it. The locations are gorgeous. Tamannaah is so beautiful in the film.

The audience have no fixed notions. It's not like they are disinterested in remakes. They are curious to know how our own actor has approached a character and acted. Sometimes, remakes get more traction. As for the dialogues, they are completely different from the original film, 'Love Mocktail' (Kannada).

This film is an emotional ride that is going to immerse the audience completely in the second half. You will stop judging the characters and their actions. Your experiences are different from mine. No two lives are the same.

'GodFather' demanded me to write mass dialogues. In 'GS', I have written classy ones. I have written family entertainers like 'Chandmama', political films, love stories in my careers. I have not stuck to any particular genre. The story must inspire me to write a film.

Audiences don't think the same. Someone might watch a movie after a tiff with his girlfriend. Another one might watch a movie to enjoy with his girlfriend. We have had blockbusters like 'KGF 2' and 'Sita Ramam', completely contrasting films. Audiences are not homogenous.

I am producing a movie titled 'Mareechika' with Regina Cassandra and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. Viraj Ashwin also has a lead role in it. The title means 'Mirage' in English. Satish Kasetty is directing the film.

'Anni Manchi Shakunaale' with Vyjayanthi Movies is my next film as a writer. It is directed by Nandini Reddy. I have been writing dialogues for her movies right from the start. Santosh Shoban is its hero.
