'Rajayogam' stars Sai Ronak and Ankita Saha in lead roles. Directed by Ram Ganapathi, the romantic drama is going to hit the cinemas on December 30. In this interview, director Ram talks about the film. The film's trailer, released recently, hints at a series of steamy moments and crime comedy.

I wanted to become a filmmaker even as a child. After completing my studies, I pursued an Animation course. I then migrated to Paris and lived there for nine years on account of my job. Upon returning to India, I made a film titled 'Ithadu Eeme' investing all my savings. Since it was released amid a few big movies, it flopped miserably. I lost all my savings in one go. But since I am passionate about movies, I didn't feel miserable!

I made my first film for the family audience. 'Rajayogam', on the other hand, has been made for youths. In the days of OTT, big-star movies attract audiences without much effort. But small movies can work only if they are exceptional.

'Rajayogam' is full of twists and turns in the second half. The interval bang is going to be a highlight. You can call it a crime comedy.

The behaviour of the different characters in the movie is unpredictable in the movie. The male lead is a driver who gets to live luxuriously in a star hotel for four days. There, he bumps into an attractive woman. In those four days, their lives undergo several twists. The film is about a hunt for a diamond. Who gets to place their hands on it eventually is what the film is about.

Ajay Ghosh, Praveen, Giri, Bhadram, Shakalaka Shankar, Tagubothu Ramesh, Chitram Srinu, Sijju and Madhunandan played interesting roles in the movie. Then the lead man, Sai Ronak, is such a great talent. 'Rajayogam' is the first film that makes the best use of his talent.

There are loads of kissing scenes in the movie. That's why it was not easy to zero in on the heroines. Finally, Ankita Saha and Bismi Naaz came on board. Their performances are superb.

It's encouraging that I received positive feedback when I recently screened the movie for people in my circle. Many of them attended the screening feeling obligated. They thought of walking out after ten minutes. But they held back and watched the entire movie.
