Young producers Snehal Jangala and Shashidhar Kasi await the release of 'Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana' on March 1. Shiva Kandukuri plays the male lead in the film. In this interview, the young producers say that the film has a relatively fresh male lead because the character demanded him to come without a heroic image. They clarify that their film has nothing to do with 'Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya'. "Don't expect our movie to be like 'ASSA'. The story beats and treatment are so different," they clarify.

We started out by doing independent movies in 2014. It took us time to transition to feature films. Ever since the trailer for 'Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana' was released, we have been getting inquiries from distributors. In the US, Galaxy is going to distribute our movie. The OTT deals are also a done deal. The scale is grand. From a business perspective, the trailer and songs have helped us a great deal. Although we are a bit anxious, we are understanding the trade. For a film of our range, we are really in a comfortable position. This March 1, we surely stand a chance. Hitherto, we went by our passion. With 'BBN', we have expanded our horizons. In the past three years, we have learned many lessons by trial and error.

This is a detective-oriented crime thriller. Usually, detectives are semi-orphans or full orphans in our movies. Their love life is troubled. The protagonist is seen as a clown by others. Contrary to all the established formats, our movie breaks out of the mold. Our protagonist has a functional family and a strong desire to become a detective right from childhood.

Director Purushotham Raaj has a strong grounding in mythology. We Indians have wrong notions about the scarecrows. They are not the 'dishti bommalu' we think they are. The scarecrows element has been wedded to fantasy in 'BBN'. The story is the real hero at the end of the day. Heroine Rashi Singh is fluent in Telugu. She is a talented actress who doesn't need prompts. She has already done five movies.

The protagonist's journey takes off on a comical note. The circumstances and events in his life propel him towards becoming a detective in his own right. This is not a detective comedy. This is more of a crime thriller with a mythical spin. How the investigation of a crime takes place comes with a serious treatment.

Composer Sricharan Pakala has given his all to the project. His BGM is awesome. Ours is the first Telugu film to come up with an AI-generated song. It's a new experiment in Tollywood. The production designer gave inputs to AI and that's how the lyrical video, titled 'Shiva Trap Trance', came about. The response from the US audience has been great for the song.

On March 1, we are aware that other films like 'Operation Valentine' are up for release. But 'BBN' will stand out because of its story and grandeur. The experience is going to be thrilling. The recent 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona' is doing very well at the box-office. The timing of the genre is right. Our film caters to the demands of the audience who want an experience. Small films like 'Masooda' and 'Mangalavaaram' are proof. Our film's trailer will go a long way in generating openings. The rest will depend on the 'word of mouth'.

We hope that 'BBN' will be remade in Hindi. We are counting on Hindi remake rights. Hindi theatrical release is hard because of the delays in completing Censor formalities. Even 'Kantara' faced the issue.
