Raghu Babu, Son of Giri Babu got into fame as Villain, Comedy Villain and Character Artist. He became a special attraction by playing variety characters in the movies. He held the press meet for the response he got for playing the character of SURI in the Allu Arjun's 'Bunny'. He said that he got overwhelmed response for the character and he played besides the main villain Prakash Raj and the combination is similar to that of Rao Gopalrao and Allu Ramalingayya. His character has slightly comedy touch up with villain back ground. In the first half, my role is to guide the villain and in the second half, I will be losing my eyes due to hero and by then I played the role of a blind rowdy. When my eye sight is good and if I ask for tea 10 of my subordinates used to bring and after loosing my eyes, they used to say as Anna, come and drink. Director V.V. Vinayak moulded my character very good and he gave me the base as actor from 'Aadi', 'Chennakesava Reddy' and 'Bunny'. Even I got good roles in 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' and 'Varsham'. After 10 years gap, Krishna Vamsi gave me chance in 'Murari' and I got good name for my role in 'Khadgam' and after these I did up to 50 movies. And I am very happy for every one calling me with my character names wherever I go. I came to industry in 1991 to become a producer and Satya Reddy garu introduced me as an artist and my father never tried to promote me. My father thinks that producer has to come for an artist on his own. My first movie is 'Dongalunnaru Jagratha', after that I didn't get good offers but I developed a strong intention to become an artist. I also did some stage shows where I got Nandi Award for the character of MLA Yadagiri in 'Gandhi Jayanthi'. Ramanamurthy garu encouraged me a lot in this and I am very greatful to the audience for their support.
