Hrithik Roshan has reportedly decided to put Krrish 4 on hold. His dream project as a director, this superhero movie will be the costliest movie in his career if it ever gets made.
As per recent Bollywood media reports, the versatile actor wants to make Krrish 4 on a massive scale with a budget Rs 500 Cr. He wants to deliver a grand, global-standard superhero epic (including high VFX and production costs).
However, this budget is not to the liking of Aditya Chopra YRF, which wants the costs not to exceed Rs 350 Cr. Since YRF tasted a disaster with War 2, it doesn't want to invest heavily in another event movie. These are just friendly differences between Hrithik and Aditya, reports say.
The Krrish series has been highly successful. Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) earned double its budget. Krrish (2006) was a hit as well. Krrish 3 (2013) was a blockbuster. It set a then-record for the highest single-day collection in Bollywood (Rs 35.91 Cr) and became one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time at that point.
