Actor Tarakaratna, who went into a sabbatical after a series of flops, has now returned for a second innings. His new movie Mukkanti, to be directed by newcomer Raj Krishna , in which Taraka sports an entirely new look was launched on 27th November at Ramakrishna Horticulture Studios. Tarakaratna's father Mohan Krishna and uncle Ramakrishna were present on the occasion.

The film to be made simultaneously in both Telugu and Tamil is produced by P J Karthikeyan and Leela Keshavan and stars Pooja Gandhi and Saamna as the female leads. Tamil actor Raj Kiran will be portraying an important role in the movie.

Refusing to speak about his new look for the movie Tarakaratna said "When Raj Krishna came to me with the story, its uniqueness and presentation made me agree immediately".

Producers P.J. Karthikeyan and Leela Keshavan announced that the regular shooting will begin from 27th itself and the first schedule will last for 25 days in Hyderabad, after which the unit will go Chennai".

Mukkanti has music by Srikanth Deva.
