A devotional film 'Sabarimala Sri Ayyappa" has been launched in Hyderabad on Tuesday, August 26. Kaushik Babu is enacting the role of 'Sri Ayyappa' and the film will be directed by Sasi Mohan. The muhurat shot was formally directed by EVV Satyanarayana for which Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao tapped the clap board and Rebel Star Krishnam Raju switched on the camera.
Briefing to media about the film the main lead actor Kaushik Babu said that during his childhood he had also acted in a serial called 'Swami Ayyappa' which got good recognition in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh and expressed his happiness for repeating the role on the silver screen. Sasi Mohan who directed films in Tamil and Malayalam is making his debut in Telugu through this film. He said that the main reason for making this film is to bring in more awareness about the history of Swamy Ayyappa among the devotees. Hence to make the film more realistic the director is doing lot of homework to upgrade his knowledge about the Lord's history.
The other prominent cast is Prabhu, Mamta Mohandas, Riaz Khan and so on.
Music is composed by Mohan Sitara and cinematography by Ramesh. This devotional film is being made under the production Anaswara Charitable Trust, presented by Vijeesh Mani.
