Gaayam 2 Website Launch

The website launch of Jagapathi Babu’s ‘Gayam 2’ was held at Live Sports Pub in Hyderabad. This event was attended by Jagapathi Babu, Bharat Chowdary, Kota Srinivasa Rao, director Praveen Sri, etc. The website gayam2.com was jointly launched by Jagapathi Babu and Kota Srinivasa Rao.

Later addressing the gathering Kota Srinivasa Rao said, “We all are aware how big hit was ‘Gayam’. That movie is still been watched by the movie lovers despite telecasting numerous times. The sequel to that film has been crafted by director Praveen Sri based on current incidents occurring in the society. Jagapathi Babu’s film career started with ‘Gayam’. His character in this film will be on par with the character in the original version. Ilayaraja’s music is yet another asset to the film. Ram Gopal Varma, who directed the original version also showed his satisfaction with the output of this sequel. Producer Dharmakarta made this film without compromising in any department. Therefore I hope that this film should become a big hit.”

Jagapathi Babu while speaking, “Gayam extracted the real heroism in me. Ram Gopal Varma might have forgotten about that film long ago after going to Bollywood but the people here still watch and appreciate it. The sequel will be the continuation of ‘Gayam’. Ramu saw the sequel and gave his appraisals. Kota Srinivasa Rao as Shankar Narayana gave an extra ordinary performance. Likewise Thanikella Bharani too did justice to his role. I thank producer Surendra for making a film like ‘Gayam’. To make this sequel making producers came forward but I requested Dharmakartha to make this film. He instantly agreed and gave the responsibility to Bharat Chowdary. I worked very hard for 8 months to do this film and finally am happy to see the best output. Although I had no success for the past one and half year, ‘Gayam 2’ is getting good response from the buyers. Ilayaraja too complimented by saying that the music of this film is on par with ‘Shiva’. Despite many directors coming forward to do this sequel we selected this director because of his good visual sense. I’m predicting this movie’s success on par with ‘Billa’ and ‘Basha’.”

Praveen Sri said, “I thank Jagapathi Babu for trusting me and giving this opportunity to direct this film and I am also very happy that Ram Gopal Varma liked this film.”

“By doing this film I found a man whom I cannot forget throughout my life. He is none other than Jagapathi Babu. Likewise this film is going to introduce a good director to Telugu film industry. We are going to release the audio during next week and the film on September 3rd,” said Bharat Chowdary.
