Chinna Cinema Audio Release

‘Chinna Cinema’ starring Arjun Kalyan and Sumona as lead pair is being directed by A K Kambampati and jointly produced by Sekhar and Jyothi under Jersey Plots banner. The audio was released on Sunday evening in Hyderabad with each song released by Nara Rohit, Regina, Lakshmi Manchu, Madhura Sridhar, etc., followed by the CD launch. K S Rama Rao released the first CD and presented it to Nara Rohith.

K S Rama Rao commented, “The word ‘Chik’ means beautiful girl. During our young days we used to call beautiful girls as chik. This word is very familiar among guys. Ajay reminds me of my younger days. I left to Madras from Krishna district at the age of 21 and from there to Hyderabad. So I belong to movie world, not AP or Tamil Nadu. Availability of theaters is becoming difficult for these kind of films. There is no Mahesh, Venkatesh or Charan in this film. So it’s the media’s responsibility to take this film to the audience. Madhura Sridhar should create interest among youth for the audio. I wish Ajay and Sekhar gets good distributors. Off late distributors and producers are also showing interest in big budget movies. They want to release the films `1200 theaters and earn instant money. The audience should encourage such films.”

Director A K Kambampati said, “The entire movie will appear sarcartic. We wanted to convey audience about this film in one sentence in the trailer saying “Bhagawatgita tarahalo cinema teeyuta nee dharmamu. Vaijayam papa punyaala meeda aadharapadi untundi.” There are around 35 to 40 characters in the film and 80% of them are NRIs from the US and UK. I was able to do this film only due to producer Sekhar and the encouragement given by my wife (also a producer). Sumona was the only one who gave entry as heroine during the audition time. Later we got 60 applications from which we selected artists for other characters. The trailers indicate that the artists are aptly suitable for their characters. Hyder Bil Grammy handled camera in the USA while PG Vinda took the responsibility of it for the shooting part held in India. I got in touch with music director Praveen Lakkaraju through orkut and facebook. Initially he became depressed when we rejected all the tunes that he gave. Finally when we accepted a tune composed by him, he instantly gave tunes for all the songs in a flow. His music will be an asset to the film. He composed music with very less budget. I request the audience to watch this film in theaters on first two days if they like the trailers and music, because if there are no collections on the first two days the film will be removed from theaters on the third day.”

Producer Sekhar said, “The word Chikkamma Chik Chik Baal Chik’ is famous in Kabbadi game at Gannavaram in Krishna district. In trailers I only said not to tell stories to Krishna district people but never mentioned about any other district. So there is no question of hurting anyone’s feelings. Praveen’s music is the biggest asset to the film.”

Lakshmi Manchu said, “I get bored when I see myself, that’s the reason why I keep trying new get-ups. The industry people will always be the first to support each other. I was supposed to attend the previous events of this film. But I missed them. Around 25 people called me and enquired about this film when they have come to know about my attending this programme. Songs and visuals are very impressive. I wish this film to become a grand success.”

Nara Rohith commented, “Chikkamma Chik reminds me of all heroines who worked with me. This movie is titled ‘Chinna Cinema’ but its production values appear very lavish. I wish this film to become a huge hit.”

Rejina commented, “Chikkamma Chik song took me way back to my college days. I wish this film to become a big hit.”

Madhura Sridhar said, “I will try my level best to promote this film as much as I could. My favourite song in this film is ‘Puttadi Bomma…’ song. I will definitely promote this film along with my film.”

P G Vinda said, “I never knew initially that this film was a small film. So I worked for this film just the way I work for all films. I appreciate the patience of this team. Those who are trained in New York Film Academy in the US have worked for this film. We enjoyed a lot on the sets. This is not a small film but something like a very big film. I picturised the song ‘Ramugadu kodithe….’ Item song which is a first time experience for me.”

Hero Arjun Kalyan said, “I delivered a dialogue “Raayi petti kodithe gaayapaduddhi, Ramugaadu kodithe vaayapaduddhi”. Out of 30 candidates I got selected in the auditions in USA.”

Heroine Sumona said, “This is my first film. Comedy plays vital in this film. Like everyone, I’m also eargerly waiting for the release of this film.”

Music director Praveen Lakkaraju expressed his confidence on the success of audio and film.

Vennela Kishore, Gajini, Jyothi and other unit members also spoke in the audio function.
