Vaishakham Movie Press Meet

Famous Cine Weekly Magazine ‘Super Hit’ will complete 23 years on January 7. In the same way BA Raju will celebrate his birthday on January 7. On this occasion, a press meet was held on Wednesday i.e. on January 6 in Hyderabad.

BA Raju, who launched ‘Super Hit’ magazine, said, “My birthday is on tomorrow. I’m very happy that our weekly magazine ‘Super Hit’ will complete 23 years successfully and enters into 24th year. All films which delivered from our banner right from ‘Premalo Pavani Kalyan’ to ‘Lovely’, were made under my wife Jaya’s direction. In the same way, we are gearing up to begin another film titled ‘Vaishakham’ this year. Jaya will handle the direction department for this film also. So far we have chosen suitable artists as per the story requirement. Since my childhood films are my world. We make discussions but final decision will be made by Jaya and me. We prepare perfect planning regarding budget. Whether it is my film or other film, I will not compromise in terms of judgement. Earlier, I wanted to do direction, but after seeing Jaya’s struggle while doing direction, I withdrew my thinking. Director’s role is more crucial than producer.

Films which were released in 2015 have taken the Telugu film industry enhancement to the world. ‘Baahubali’, ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Rajugari Gadhi’, ‘Kumari 21F’, ‘Cinema Choopistha Mava’, ‘Patas’ and ‘Temper’ and many more have become big success this year. Bollywood fraternity also wondered by the stamina of Telugu films. It has given me immense happiness.”

He added, “In 2002, ‘Premalo Pavani kalyan’ has celebrated 100 days function in Vijayawada. It’s an unforgettable experience. We will always be ready to produce films if we find new subject and new thoughts. And we are also ready to produce films with other directors on our banner.”

“I’m working not just for our banner, I did two successful films on other banners. I obey the advices and suggestions of my husband BA Raju garu at the editing work. We have no issues regarding budget. Our films sounds like romantic love stories, but internally they will carry relational emotions. For example, in the film ‘Lovely’, it appears like love subject. But internally it carries father and daughter relationship. When I was working as journalist, I gained the knowledge on films and started making films. Our upcoming film ‘Vaishkham’ is a feel good entertainer. ‘Lovely’ was dubbed in many languages. It was remade in Bengali and became super hit there. Hindi version got 2 million viewership and it has given me immense happiness. I’m sure ‘Vaishakham’ will surpass the success of ‘Lovely’. There are no big or small films of late. All films which get more profits than investment are considered as hits,” said B Jaya.

She added, “Nagarjuna garu is ready to do film under my direction, but my intension is to present Nagarjuna, who entertained everyone by playing versatile roles, in a very different way. I went through several stories, but I didn’t like any of them.”
