The much awaited audio launch event of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameshwaran starrer ‘Premam’ happened on September 21 in the evening at HICC in Hyderabad. Directed by Chandu Mondeti, The film is slated for Dasara release. Young producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is producing the film ‘Premam’, the remake of Malayalam blockbuster with the same title, with the great combination on Sithara Entertainments banner as production No.1. The film has music by Gopi Sunder and Rajesh Murugan.
Darsakaratna Dr Dasari Narayana Rao garu, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, Shruthi Haasan, PVP, Chandu Mondeti, Nandini Reddy, KL Damodar Prasad, director Maruthi, hero Nikhil, Kalyan Krishna, Sudheer Varma, Srimani, Ravinder Reddy, Sarveswara rao, Ramaraju, Srinivas Reddy, Praveen and Brahmaji and some others were present at the audio launch function.
Akkineni Akhil launched the theatrical trailer, while Darsakaratna Dr Dasari Narayana Rao garu revealed the big CD and audio CDs.
Wishing all the best to the film unit members, Darsakaratna Dr Dasari Narayana Rao said, “Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu and I had 50 years strong connection. It is known to all Akkineni fans. I did 27 films with him in his cine history and out of those 22 were love stories. ‘Premabhishekam’ has created never rewritable history in 80 years film history. Akkineni family is the care of address for love related films. Nagarjuna’s ‘Majnu’ is the biggest hit film in his career. Now, the same history is being repeated with Naga Chaitanya. I whole heartedly wish the same history will continue with Akhil too. Chaitu looks like a boy-next-door. He steals everyone’s heart with his smile. Tollywood or Bollywood, love stories always creates history. Chinababu and his son Vamsi and PD Prasad are very close to me. Chaitu and Shruthi combination is wonderful. I watched ‘Premam’ in Malayalam. It is really a wonderful film. To remake such a film is quite a risky job. I hope Chandu Mondeti has perfectly handled the direction. Gopi Sunder has given stupendous music. I liked two songs in the film. I wish all the best to the entire team. I wish ‘Premam’ will become big hit and Akhil too will do love entertainer and the film should complete silver jubilee with the blessings of Akkine Nageswara Rao garu.”
Speaking on the occasion, Akkineni Nagarjuna said, “Today is my father’s birthday. Thanks to everyone who wished. Chaitanya made me to listen the song ‘Evare…’ before the release. It’s a beautiful song. I started listening it daily. Sanskit word ‘Premam’ mean ‘Prema’. All love stories rights from my father’s ‘Devadasu’ and ‘Premabhishekam’ to my ‘Geetanjali’, were well received by Akkineni fans and audience. ‘Premam’ will join the league for sure. Chandu Mondeti and producers have crafted the film wonderfully. Audio is very impressive. After completing the censor process, the film will be released on October 7.”
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya said, “Today is my grandfather’s birthday and it very special day to all our Akkineni family members. We were very much impressed by Malayalam super hit film ‘Premam’ and bought Telugu rights. We planned to make it wonderfully by making few changes which suits to the Telugu nativity. We appreciated each and every artist and technician of the Malayalam version. After the release of Telugu ‘Premam’, our artists and technicians will receive accolades from them. Asking Chandu Mondeti to direct a remake film is wrong in my opinion, because he is much potential in direction. I would love to work with him in future on his own script. I am thankful to the director Chandu Mondeti, producers Chinababu, Vamsi and PD Prasad. I consider myself lucky for working on this banner. Gopi Sunder has provided excellent music. Karthik has given beautiful cinematography. ‘Premam’ will make audience feel proud and it is coming to audience on October 7.”
Akkineni Akhil, ML Kumar Chowdary, Nandini Reddy, KL Damodar Prasad, Maruthi, Nikhil and Kalyan Krishna and PVP too spoke at the function and wished for the success of the film.
