Actor and producer Nagababu held a press meet in Hyderabad on Wednesday i.e. on April 18 to speak about Sri Reddy’s protest against casting couch in Tollywood. It is known that Sri Reddy has been making headlines with her protest against the casting couch in the Telugu film industry and the denial of opportunities to Telugu actresses. Recently she used derogatory language against Power Star Pawan Kalyan just for advising victims to file cases in a media interaction recently. She even shown her middle finger in public to Pawan kalyan.
Speaking at the press meet, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s brother and producer Nagababu said, “I have served for MAA as a president. This association always tries to find solutions for any issue. It is only there for the welfare of the actors and not to guarantee roles for the Telugu artists. It’s the producers’ choice to select the artists and it’s their right.
Reacting aggressively on Sri Reddy’s abuse on Pawan Kalyan, actor Nagababu said, “Our Telugu film industry has respected women. Just because of few people they have always been shown in bad light to the world. It is not fair to talk about someone’s personal life. The family will not be silent. We are silent only because our family is a strong one and we have so many important things to discuss. Don’t assume our silence as our weakness. When I explained the situation to my mother, she said, “It’s ok. Handle it the right way as Sri Reddy is a women as well.” We even asked our fans to be silent.”
Nagababu reiterated, “While casting couch is a serious issue, the way to get the justice would be to file a complaint. Not just in Telugu film industry, the problem is everywhere. I suggest young girls not to fall into the traps.”
