We're celebrating three tip top, majhaanu, bhonu filled years of SodaBottleOpenerWala, your quintessential Bombay Irani Cafe with all its idiosyncrasies in place. It is fun, quirky and contemporary.

The dikras and dikris invite you for a delicious Parsi Wedding Bhonu, an experience designed exclusively for your tastebuds. Parsis celebrate like there's no tomorrow.

Good food, music and dance are the key ingredients of celebrating the Parsi way. The community takes much pride in their wedding feasts which are an experience of a lifetime. Traditionally served on a banana leaf, the sit-down feast unfolds course wise and mostly offers non-vegetarian fare. At SodaBottleOpenerWala we serve the same on a banana leaf kept on a large plate and have vegetarian options as well.

Eggs, chicken and mutton are on the menu along with Parsi good luck symbols - fish and rice. SodaBottleOpenerWala's Khan Market, Noida, Hyderabad and Bengaluru outlets will be open for a grand Parsi Wedding Feast. You are invited!

On the menu

For the Vegetarian Bhonu start with Pallonji Soda in Raspberry flavour. A lip smacking Vengna nu achar or eggplant pickle will tickle your tastebuds and another traditional offering Lagan nu achar will set the tone for the evening.

Kachumbar or Parsi style mixed salad dressed with cane vinegar along with crispy Saria Papad make for perfect sides! Papeta Anjeerna Cutlis is a typical Parsi style culet made using an unusual and delicious combination of potatoes and figs with a touch of Parsi masalas.

For mains enjoy a Kora Papri no Patio, a sweet and tangy preparation of pumpkin and broad beans and Badami Papeta ne Paneer where potato meets paneer in a rich almond gravy. Savour these with Masalo ni Daar and Vegetable Pulao or flavoured Basmati rice with ghee, and aromatic vegetables as well as Parsi style rotis called Rotii.

Non-vegetarian Bhonu has the same sides served with Chutney Eeda na Pattice or stuffed egg in a potato mixture with coconut based chutney pattice, Mocchi no Cutlet, a coriander spiced cutlet of minced Rawas fish with garlic.

It has mutton simmered in a mild white gravy Masala n, Daar and Chicken Pulao complete the meal. For desserts try Strawberry Custer, our take on Lagan nu Custer and a very special Plum cake with brandy sauce.
