Hyderabad, 3rd November, 2017: To usher in the spirit of the upcoming festival season an elaborate cake mixing ceremony was organized at Mercure Hyderabad KCP. The environment was charged with pre-Christmas cheers and festive songs playing in the background. Renowned Singer Steve Adams, played live music setting the tone for a perfect afternoon. The prominent city bloggers along with the honourable women from Sanskruti Mahila Club, Socialites and Corporate guests attended the event. Spreading the spirit of the festivities, the event saw guests, hotel associates & the senior management team actively participating in the cake mixing ceremony and enjoying the event. The guests were seen bonding over a lavish high tea and a delightful spread of accompaniments and festive delicacies.
The hotel staff led everyone to the mixing table as it is a tradition at the hotel to welcome the festival season with a fruit soaking ceremony ahead of Christmas. A large table was set with candied ginger strips lining the bottom, and huge trays filled with fruit which include glazed red cherries, tutti-frutti, black currants, dates, dried apricots & figs along with the spices like cardamom, cinnamon will be used for cake mixing. And of course the all important ‘spirit of the season’ in bottles – wine, rum and whiskey etc was flown in abundance to soak the fruit in. Each guest was given gloves, aprons and Chef Caps. Everyone began mixing with handful of fruits, ceremoniously dumped into the table. After the traditional cake mixing ceremony, the mixture was put into containers and left to mature until around Christmas, when it will be blended with the cake batter and baked.
