Hyderabad, 07 May, 2011: Usha International Ltd., has been associated with the marketing of 'USI-lA’ Sewing and design Machines since 1936. The company markets a wide range of Usha Janome Automatic Zig-Zag and Computerized Embroidery machines using advanced Japanese Technology, along with Straight Stitch and Industrial sewing machines.

ln the Usha Janome Automatic segment, there is a range of 7 machines with up to 58 stitch functions and special features like free arm circular stitching, automatic needle threading, wide stitch width of 6.0 cm, built-in-motor, snap on presser foot and single touch reverse stitch to do various stitch functions like embroidery, button holing, picot, quilting and much more.

The company has tied up with the premier fashion institute - National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), to recognize, encourage and award up-coming, talented designers. The "Usha-NIFT Award for Best Garment Construction" was instituted in the year 1998, through contribution to the NIFT 'Student Development Fund' especially for this purpose. Currently 8 centres of NlFT at New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Gandhinagar, Bangalore and Rai Bareli present this award instituted by Usha International, these awards have been instituted for all times to come.
