Indian American pop singer Reggie Benjamin was moved by the news of two young women being raped and hung in India. Benjamin connected with the family and India's Parliament to help bring awareness to their plight. Not stopping there he further delved into the rape and trafficking statistics. He was horrified with the atrocities being committed against women and the mind numbing statistics of every 2 minutes someone in USA being sexually assaulted; a woman being raped every 22 minutes in India; 1 out of every 17 women being a rape victim in Canada; 1 in 5 women having experienced some sort of sexual violence since the age of 16 in the U.K. and similar sexual abuse in every nook and corner of the world., Reggie Benjamin's brain child 'Mission Save Her' was created to help bring awareness against gang rape and human trafficking all over the world. Several Hollywood Celebs joined hands with Mission Save Her to accomplish this onerous task.
Song 'Save Her', which created waves and won acclaim across the globe, was the precursor to the Mission. Reggie Benjamin who wrote & produced the song reached out t# his celebrity friends, including childhood pal and Grammy-nominated musician Eric Benet, to help him on his mission to lower these statistics and make the world a safer place for women to live in. The track is a call-to-action in the wake of the rape cases in India.
