INXS-14 at J. B Institution-(Engineering & Medical Campus) –A 16thAnnual Day celebrations of the Institution turned out to be a thrilling and exhilarating affair. Student turned down to see some exceptional talent of their fellow students.
The Event initiated with a welcome dance-classical dance by Hymavathi- 2nd Year of Engineering. The Event went to see some solo music performance on Drums & Pads, Singing and Group Dances.
The Skit on Women Self Defense and Nirbhaya was one of the most appreciated which portrayed the message “RESPECT” for the women.
On the occasion of the event Mr.Bhaskar Rao-Chairman J.B Group said J.B Group of Educational Institutions has always been in the forefront in creating & developing some exceptional talents. The Students from J.B Group has been selected to participate in Microsoft Programs and students have developed some exceptional “APPS” which has been selected by Microsoft.
Mr. Bhasker added that “students are conducting many flash mobs, competitions so that the students can showcase their talent in every field they wish to excel. We have also designed games to create awareness among the students to save the planet. Few games like bird watching, script to screen, etc. Also our students have projected interactive animation movies that can be used to motivate the youth to wear helmet and ride a bike as a road safety project.”,
Dr.G. Tulasi Ram Das-Vice Chancellor, JNTU-Kakinada encouraged the students and said that the development of the future citizens should be all round, students cant excel in just one field, it is an era of multitasking and students should learn to be multitalented in order to be successful.
Dr.T. Ravi Raju Vice-Chancellor Dr. N.T. R University advised the students to inculcate healthy habits and stressed out the importance of Extra Curricular Activities in students life, he added that’s its healthy mind with proper education and good physical regime will help students achieve their goals.
Special dance sequences and singing competition was conducted where large crowd of students were seen enjoying and singing in chorus. Also long lost games among the youth like drum charades and antakshari were also a part of the fest celebrations.
“This is a very interesting concept. When youth finds all its entertainment in the computer games, drum charades and antakshari gave us a new and refreshing experience. I personally felt the animation movies to motivate the youth and the bird watching game to create awareness among the youth to save the planet were among the best and the most creative games.”, said a student participating in the fest.
Principles of various colleges were seen encouraging the students and appreciating the talent being showcased by the students.
There was also a special seed planting competition which encouraged the students to plant more number of trees and create a green planet for the future generation.
Various sports competition like recycle expo, slow cycle race, etc., were set up to show the ways a person can save the planet.
