Vijay Devarakonda has joined forces with Kranthi Madhav of 'Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju' fame for the movie, 'World Famous Lover'. The film has been awaited with much anticipation as Vijay announced that this is his last love story. Is the film worth the hype?
Story
Gautham (Vijay Deverakonda) and Yamini (Raashi Khanna) are in a relationship. Gautham leaves his job as he wants to become a writer. But he sits idle at home for more than a year. Fed up with his behaviour, Yamini breaks up with him. Faraway, in Yellandhu, Seenayya (also Vijay Devarakonda) is a coal mine worker, who has a loving wife Suvarna (Aishwarya Rajesh) and a kid. It's a happy family. But Seenayya gets close to his boss Smitha (Catherine Tresa) and unexpected things happen. Another love story unfolds in Paris when Gautham falls in love with a pilot named Isa (Izabelle Leite). But destiny has something shocking in store for the couple. How are all these stories connected? How will they end? That's what the film is all about.
Performances
Vijay Devarakonda was mostly impressive in the role of Seenayya. The character looks fresh for him, as we have mostly seen him in urban roles and he delivers his best. Gautham role is tailor-made for him. Aishwarya Rajesh performs well in a de-glam role. Raashi Khanna delivers an emotional performance. But her dialogue delivery should have been better. Catherine Tresa and Izabelle Leite are good in their roles.
Technical aspects
Gopi Sundar's songs and background score are apt. The cinematography is excellent as the beauty of Paris and coal mine were captured well. The production values are rich.

Analysis
'World Famous Lover' is all about love and sacrifice. The film has a good story and was narrated well. The dialogues were well-written and the emotional scenes were executed well. The Yellandhu episode between Vijay Devarakonda and Aishwarya Rajesh looks fresh and has some beautiful moments. That episode entertains. The Paris episode also looks good. But for Raashi Khanna's dubbing, the scenes between her and Vijay were good. But the film is strictly for younger section of the audiences. You can't enjoy the film with your family as some expletives are used and there are some scenes where families feel uncomfortable. Some scenes remind us of Vijay Devarakonda's earlier films like 'Arjun Reddy'.
On the whole, 'World Famous Lover' is an emotional love story, which will be a good watch on this Valentine's day. But it is not for family audiences.
