Ileana D'Cruz (brought into the world on 1 November 1987) is an Indian film on-screen actress who acts mainly in Telugu and Hindi films.

D'Cruz also appeared in Tamil films in Kedi (2006) and Nanban Shankar (2012).
D'Cruz made its Hindi film debut in 2012, with the critically and commercially popular Barfi of Anurag Basu! For which she was critically praised and earned many accolades, including the Best Female Debut Filmfare Award. She went on to play the leading female roles in the action comedy Main Tera Hero (2014), the crime thriller Rustom (2016) and the crime drama Raid (2018), all of which had commercial success.
Ileana Raised in a Goan Catholic family in Mahim, Mumbai, grew up partly in Mumbai and partly in Goa. Her family moved to Parra, Goa at age 10. Her mothertongue is Konkani. Director Teja invited D'Cruz for an audition in 2005 but the idea was cancelled. Then, she made her feature film debut in Devadasu (2006), a Telugu language romantic film directed by Y. V. S. Chowdhary.
She made her film debut in Kedi (2006) in the Tamil language. While at the box office the film didn't perform too well, D'Cruz stayed too distracted to consider all the film parts she was given. Her Telugu film Khatarnak (2006), in which she acted in the opposite direction to Ravi Teja, did not perform as well as planned, which was due to her glamorous presence that did not go well with the audience. She subsequently witnessed a milestone in her career as her subsequent releases Rakhi (2006) and Munna (2007) proved successful both critically and financially.
With the success of her well appreciated 2007 film Aata, D'Cruz's career took a turn for the better. In 2008 she appeared in the action film Jalsa, the female lead character, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. D'Cruz earned mostly favorable remarks, with reviewers noting that she looked "nice," "damn stylish," and "every bit elegant and beautiful in the script," while later earning the Santosham Award, one of five awards for Jalsa, and the South Scope Fashion Award, in addition to winning a nomination for the Best Actress Award at the 56th South Filmfare Awards. Her first release in 2009, named Kick, was also deemed a profitable box office, becoming one of the year's highest-grossing films. She appeared later that year in the movies Rechipo and Y. V. S. Choudary's Saleem both poorly received at the box office.
In 2011 D'Cruz received 2 releases. Her first movie that year was Shakti where she attempted the role of lead girl. She, along with Jr.NTR, provided a stage performance for the audio release feature of this movie , as part of movie promotion. Her next release was Nenu Naa Rakshasi which marked Puri Jagannadh's second collaboration. Though the film was a disappointment, critics received her performance positively
Her next release was Julai, a Telugu film. The film premiered to good reviews and became Telugu's third biggest success in 2012 and biggest hit. She then appeared in Devudu Chesina Manushulu, a comedy by Puri Jagannadh. She played the part of a taxi driver in this film. The movie received negative feedback and eventually underperformed at the box office.
