‘Solo’ starring Nara Rohith and Nisha Agarwal was directed by Parasuram and produced by Vamsikrishna Srinivas under SVK Cinema banner. The film was recently released and is running in theaters with success talk. On this occasion producer Vamsikrishna Srinivas shared his happiness with the media. Here are some excerpts:
He introduced himself saying, “I was born and brought up in Vizag. I pursued M.S. Maths and presently doing shipping business. At one point of time I had passion for direction. I even tried to get into it but could not succeed. Basically I don’t have time for it. I then fulfilled my desire of entering the film industry by producing this film. I’ll do what I like and don’t listen to others. Right from the choosing the story to dialogues, lyrics and music, I’ll agree to it only if I’m completely satisfied. Similarly I should also like the sets and locations.”
About ‘Solo’ film he said, “Solo is a complete entertainer for people from all walks of life. The audience will never get bored within 3 hours of time of run time. Dialogues, Mani Sharma’s music and re-recording are fantastic. The songs were mostly shot in Vizag, Araku and Hyderabad. We choose those locations because they are aptly suitable to the story and songs in the film. Prakash Raj gave a wonderful performance. He also cooperated and completed his shooting part in 21 days. The entire shooting was done for 51 days. We released the film in 156 theaters across Andhra Pradesh and in 12 theaters in USA. The response as well as collections are good everywhere. Hence we are planning to increase the number of prints.”
Talking about director Parasuram he said, “Parasuram is very patient and supporting character. He completed the film within the schedule time and budget. He penned very good dialogues which gave life to the film. I gave him the opportunity by trusting his story. We both worked together without any difference of opinions.”
About Rohit he said, “Rohit is a down to earth person even though he had come from a big family. He cooperated very well on the sets. I was impressed with his performance after watching his first film. He worked very hard in this film also and exhibited his talent in his own style.”
He concluded declaring about his future projects. He said, “I’m presently making a film with Allari Naresh, Shreya and Sharwanand. 40% of shooting is complete, Naresh is doing a different role from that of the ones he normally does. Henceforth I’ll choose only Mani Sharma for all my films. Finally I thank the audience and fans for making this film a big hit.”
