Dhanush and Shruthi Haasan starrer ‘3’ has been officially selected for 12th Annual New York Indian Film Festival, to be held from May 23rd to 27th in New York. Directed by Aishwarya Dhanush, the film has successfully completed 50 days today, and now all set to be screened on May 26th at NYIFF. The moment the song ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’ from the film ‘3’ was posted in Youtube, it instantly became viral for its quirky Tanglish lyrics and also became the most searched Youtube video not just in India, but an internet phenomenon across the globe. Now the film also has caught the people’s attention internationally.
‘3’ will be showcased along with 40 award-winning films including Dhanush’s ‘Aadukaalam’ (the winner of six 2010 National Awards) in this 12th annual New York Indian Film Festival, the longest-running showcase of Indian films in the US.
