Highly acclaimed Hindi filmmakers Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru have come out with innovative ideas for promoting their first production venture ‘D for Dopidi’ in Telugu. The film starring
Varun Sandesh, Sundeep Kishna, Rakesh, Naveen and Melania Kannokada in central roles also has Tanikella Bharani in an important role. ‘D for Dopidi’ is a crime comedy directed by Siraj Kalla. The story revolves around four youngsters who decide to rob the bank. The funny trailers of this film have created curiosity among the movie buffs. Mahesh Shankar is providing the music and the movie is set for Valentine’s Day release.
Speaking to media on Saturday producers Krishna D K and Raj Nidimoru said, “We both are Telugu speaking guys. Our passion for films began when we were doing engineering in Venkateswara University. Later we went to the US on the basis of job and as we were associated with Hollywood, that interest has made us choose the path of film-making. Our first movie ‘Flavours’ which got wide response across the globe also boosted our confidence level to make movies in Telugu. However, it did not materialize then. But without loosing any hopes, we tried our hand in Bollywood and became successful by director films like ‘99’ and ‘Shor in the City’ and making ‘Go Goa Gone’ with Saif Ali Khan’. Now we got the opportunity to make ‘D for Dopidi’ in Telugu, which is a wholesome entertainer. Very soon we are planning to direct a Telugu film too.”
