Samantha now wants to see herself on big screen in a performance oriented roles only. The actress has been getting negative comments on her routine roles and performance for quite some time and thus she apparently took the decision of putting a break to glamour roles and take up projects that give scope to exhibit her acting skills. Samantha started off her film career with ‘Gautham Menon’s blockbuster movie ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ in which she gave a flawless performance with great ease and won millions of young hearts. All her following films except ‘Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu’ (Average) and ‘Jabardasth’ (Flop) were also blockbusters – ‘Brindavanam’, ‘Dookudu’, ‘Eega’, ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ and the latest being ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’. Even though ‘Eega’ and ‘Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu’ earned her Filmfare Awards in Best Actress category, the actress had to face lot of negative comments from the audience for her routine roles in her other films. This has made her think deep and come to a conclusion of not signing any more films hastily, instead wait for the good roles. Samantha took to twitter and made this announcement to her followers stating, “I am on strike... No more signing on the dotted line till I get a full fledged super awesome blow my mind kinda role... #grumpyface#. Except for the ones I have already signed..i d get butt whipped if I don't show up to work.. #grumblegroan#.”
