To mark the occasion of first Bathukamma after the formation of Telangana state, Pranay Audios company who belongs to Karimnagar has made an audio and video album named ‘Pudami’ which narrates the history and background of Bathukamma festival. Telangana Jagruthi president and MP Kavitha has released the album on Tuesday (23rd of September).
On the eve of the album’s release, Kavitha said, “The arts and artists of Telangana have to reach new heights day by day. We have to again resurgent our customs and traditions which were ignored by the Andhra leaders during the times of Samaikyandhra. Our government is giving full cooperation to the arts and artists of Telangana.”
“We faced lot of discrimination when our film industry was in the hands of the people of Andhra. At that time we were in a pathetic situation to adapt to their customs. To participate in these types of activities gives us immense pleasure and satisfaction than working for a film,” stated the film director Prem Raj, who has directed the album.
Singer Vani, Lyricist Vennela Venkatesh, Music director: Yasho Krishna, Producer: Pranay Kumar Goud and some others have attended the function.
