Rasamayi cultural organization has been presenting Akkineni life time achievement award to legendary personalities from various fields from the past 35 years, marking the occasion of Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu’s birthday. Starting in 1999, almost 50 achievers have been felicitated with the award till date.
This year, the award will be conferred to Kalabandhu Dr. Subbarami Reddy garu in the event to be held on September 21 at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad, marking the occasion of the legendary actor Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu’s 93rd birthday.
Dr. Subbarami Reddy garu has 40 years strong relationship with Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu and earned the name as Kalabandhu for encouraging talented artists and technicians by felicitating them.
Rasamayi organisation chief coordinator Dr. MK Ram announced, “The award presentation event will be held on September 21 at Ravindra Bharathi auditorium in Hyderabad. Honourable Central Minister Shri. M Venkaiah Naidu will grace the event as chief guest. Former Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. K Rosaiah, Jnanpitha and Padma Bhushan awardee C Narayana Reddy, prominent film actress Dr. Jayaprada, prominent writer and politician Dr. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, Prajanati Smt. Jamuna, comey artist Dr. Brahmanandam, writer Dr. Paruchuri GopalaKrishna garu, MP Shri D Srinivas garu, educationalist Sri Potluri Srimannarayana garu and some other legendary personalities from various fields will grace the event.”
“Music and dance performance on ‘Mahanatudu Akkineni’ written by Dr. MK Ramu along with the dance performances of Pandit Anjibabu, Sri Sridhar and Sri Alla Srinivas and SVR Chinni’s Akkineni Ball pen drawings will be arranged before starting the award presentation program,” he added.
