It is already known that young director Nag Anwesh of ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ fame is helming the biopic on legendary Telugu actress Savitri. The film has been named after Savitri’s screen name ‘Mahanati’. Keerthy Suresh is playing the title role and Golden Beauty Samantha is playing a pivotal role. According to reliable sources, ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame Vijay Devarakonda will be seen romancing Samantha in this upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual ‘Mahanati’. The film has Dulquer Salman playing the lead character.
At present, Nag Ashwin and the team are extremely busy with pre-production works and in finalising the rest of cast and crew. To be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil languages. It could be dubbed in Malayalam as well.
