Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and actor Pawan Kalyan has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the recipients of the Padma Awards. In a statement released on Sunday night, the OG star highlighted the selection of world-renowned oncologist Dr. Nori Dattatreya for the Padma Bhushan, noting that the doctor has worked tirelessly to raise public awareness regarding cancer. He also lauded the inclusion of eminent actor Mammootty.
Regarding the Telugu states, the Ustaad Bhagat Singh star expressed great pleasure over the Padma Shri honors conferred upon veteran actors and cultural icons. He specifically mentioned former Member of Parliament Murali Mohan and 'Nata Kireeti' Rajendra Prasad, stating that both figures hold a special place in Telugu cinema. The JSP leader further acknowledged a wide array of achievers from various disciplines, including Kuchipudi dancer Deepika Reddy, R. Madhavan, and cricketers Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur.
The statement also recognized the academic and scientific contributions of Dr. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, Vempati Kutumba Sastry, and scientist Gaddamanugu Chandramouli, alongside medical experts Dr. Guduru Venkata Rao and Dr. P. Vijayanand Reddy. Reflecting on the posthumous honors, Pawan Kalyan paid tribute to the "invaluable services" of those recognized after their passing. He noted the announcement of the Padma Vibhushan for legendary actor Dharmendra and former Kerala Chief Minister V. S. Achyutanandan. Additionally, he honored the memory of former Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren for the Padma Bhushan, as well as dairy farmer Mamidi Ramana Reddy and musician Garimella Balakrishna Prasad for the Padma Shri.
