Speaking about the movie, director Ayan Mukerji said that the plot is an epic convergence of ancient India and the modern world. The visuals are promised to be spectacular and jaw-dropping. "The film is filled with fantasy and adventure, with drama and a lot of heart and I am happy to finally present it to audiences. We have envisioned and scaled Brahmāstra with cutting edge technology and never seen before visual spectacles, an attempt to create a global pop culture phenomenon from India," the director added.

Themes such as good vs evil, love and hope are integral to the movie.

Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures are jointly producing the three-part trilogy, the first of which will head to the theatres on September 9 next year in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
